Sommerro

Nordic Choice Hotels transformed this 1930s landmark, previously used by the Oslo Energy Authority, into an art deco-style hotel. Each room has its unique design, and the hotel features a fantastic restaurant and Oslo's first rooftop pool and terrace.

During the building's original construction in the late 1920s, all the lighting pieces were manufactured by Hadeland Glassverk. When the building was reborn as a hotel, Hadeland Glassverk played a role in restoring the original lamps. 

Additionally, Hadeland Glassverk had the pleasure of supplying handmade custom art glass and vases, all handmade in our factory, for the new hotel project.

Located in one of Oslo's most stylish neighbourhoods, Sommerro has already received several awards for both its architectural expression and its service.
