Sandvika lantern
Inspired by historical lanterns from Sandvika
Sandvika-lantern is designed by Zenisk for Bærum Municipality for the new River Promenade along the mouth of the Sandvik River at Bærum City Hall. The lantern is inspired by historical lanterns from Sandvika.
The design, with handmade crystal core from Hadeland Glassverk and lantern house in stainless steel, draws on organic aspects of Sandvika's beautiful river promenade.
Our handblown glass core with air bubbles captures the light from sparkling LEDs with varying colour temperature, programmed in a dynamic scenario.
The crystal core sparkles in daylight and glows when illuminated at night. The crystal core is mouth-blown and hand-ground according to 250-year-old techniques at Hadeland Glassverk.
