The America Line Hotel

Hadeland Glassverk has been producing for the American line for more than 60 years, and when the hotel reopened in 2019, the reproduction of champagne glasses and lamps began.

Design manager at Hadeland Glassverk Maud Gj. Bugge and director of the American line Wilhelm Hartwig dusted-down the classics in the archive, and the glassblowers and grinders began work.

For this project we delivered bespoke pendant Crystal Ball compositions in Cocoa with brass suspension for bedrooms, the dining room and hallway.

Hadeland also reproduced the champagne glasses that were originally used on the ship. Everything is mouth-blown and hand-sharpened at Hadeland Glassverk according to 250-year-old techniques.
