We will explore the topic Designing in Harmony with Nature through illuminating introductions to Norwegian design inspiration and heritage. A case study about the multiple award-winning project Under, and a panel discussion with designers and representatives from leading Norwegian design brands Hadeland Glassverk, Lundhs, and Eikund.

The cold climate, cultural asceticism and the longing for daylight drew a particular strand of Modernism from Scandinavia - the Nordic Empiricism that characterised its architecture in the 20th Century. Deconstruction, technology and material performance have since combined to generate a more dramatic architectural expression for Norway. We will be in conversation with Snøhetta, its most lauded articulator.

There will be an opportunity to network with architects and product designers. This will be a catered event with a bar and a selection of chef prepared finger food.
