The Norwegian Opera & Ballet

The seven-meter-wide chandelier that hangs over the main stage has been developed by the architect's office Snøhetta and designed in detail in collaboration with Hadeland Glassverk's design manager Maud Gj. Bugge.

The chandelier is handmade at Hadeland Glassverk. It is seven meters wide, weighs 8.5 tons and has 5,800 crystal glasses and 8,000 LED lights. The 5800 crystal glasses are mouth-blown and hand-sanded at Hadeland Glassverk according to 250-year-old techniques.
